  • There are a number of different types of agricultural systems that are used on a daily basis. These include free range, vegetarianism/veganism, biodynamic, permaculture, family farms and many more. One could argue that each individual species of farm animal has their own unique type of farm that they need to be placed in. This article is not about those types of animals but rather the type of farms.
  • Agriculture is the cultivation of animals, plants and fungi for food, fiber, and other products used to sustain life. Agriculture was the key implement in the rise of sedentary human civilization, whereby farming of domesticated species created food surpluses that nurtured the development of civilization. The study of agriculture is known as agricultural science.
  • Agriculture is production of plants, animals, fungi, and other lifeforms for food, fiber, biofuel, medicinals and other products used to sustain and enhance human life. Agriculture is the production of food, feed, fiber and other desired products by the cultivation of plants and the raising of animals. The practice of agriculture is also known as farming. Agriculture is done through various means such as: plowing, seeding, and irrigation.
